Biography
Warren Hoskinson
Oil and Gas Industry Sales Representative
(February, 2008) - As Oil and Gas Industry Sales Representative for Shield Technologies Corporation (Shield), Warren Hoskinson leads the sales and support of high-tech Envelop® Protective Covers (Envelop) for companies that rely on commercial offshore drilling equipment.
Already, Warren has led the appropriation of Envelop® covers for one of the world's largest offshore drilling contractors, which uses Envelop® covers to protect expensive equipment waiting in inventory yards around the world - equipment that is usually needed urgently but exposed to the harsh environmental elements of coastal regions. Initially developed for the military, Envelop® covers have been proven to save hours of time and significantly reduce expense for prevention and repair of motors and other equipment which would be otherwise damaged by humidity, heat, ultraviolet rays, and other environmental hazards.
Warren came to Shield in mid-2007 following a 30-year career in the oil and gas industry at oilfield services giant Schlumberger. Warren served a variety of roles with increasing responsibilities in the field - in drilling/production, transmission/pipeline, and sales/marketing. He began his career in 1976 as a field engineer in Abu Dhabi (United Arab Emirates), moving back to the United States in 1979 as district manager and later division manager for the Rocky Mountain region. After nearly a decade there, he moved to Louisiana as district manager supervising stimulation vessels and ultimately was promoted to lead the sales and marketing efforts for Schlumberger's well-services area, based in Houston, Texas.
"In my career, corrosion solutions were not often proven technologies, so I'm excited to offer my drilling colleagues a product proven by the military to reduce maintenance and downtime."
Warren works out of Houston and can be reached at 713-829-0717 or whoskinson@envelopcovers.com
About ENVELOP® Protective Covers
Envelop Protective Covers are the next generation of environmental and operational covers, replacing ineffective vinyl tarps and corrosion-inhibiting chemicals that contaminate the environment. Envelop covers were originally developed to protect military weapons and other assets from water, salt, humidity, sand and other sources of environmental degradation. Validated in the Navy's ocean-going environment, Envelop covers have proven to dramatically reduce maintenance time for military assets, and they are the only soft covers approved by the U.S. Navy for topside weapons and equipment. More than 14,000 Envelop covers are now used by the U.S. Navy, U.S. Army, U.S. Marine Corps, U.S. Coast Guard, and allied navies. They are also available for consumer and industrial applications such as oil and gas machinery, commercial shipping, amusement parks, airplanes, gun cases and cruise ships. Shield Technologies Corporation is headquartered in Chicago, Ill., with operations in the Twin Cities suburb of Eagan, Minn.
