DDG KINGPOST COVER INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS:
- Climb to the top of the Kingpost using a ladder and safety equipment, taking the two aluminum brace & pulley assemblies to the top of the Kingpost.
- Install the two aluminum braces, inboard to outboard, with the short overhanging ends outboard. Securely tighten the brace to the Kingpost frame using the nylon straps.
- Drop the pulley lines and snap rings to the deck.
- Install Kingpost cap over the pulleys with the side openings to the inboard side.
- Lace each side of the cap cover with the Kingpost support stanchion between the first and second grommets. Criss-cross the lacing, leaving the line loose at the bottom to cinch up after hoisting the sock cover underneath the cap.
- Hook the four snap rings on the hoisting lines to the four nylon loops at the top of the sock. Ensure the sock is properly positioned with the vertical opening on the inboard side of the kingpost.
- Hoist the sock assembly up, fastening the Velcro and nylon strap closures while within reach. Hoist the sock fully to the top of the kingpost. The sock slides up underneath the cap at least one foot.
- Tie off the hoisting lines to the nylon straps on the bottom of the sock to hold the sock up in place.
- Tighten the lines on the sides of the cap and secure to the sock nylon straps.
